Cisco AI Solutions on Cisco Infrastructure Essentials: A Learning Experience or a Marketing Strategy?

I recently completed the AI Solutions on Cisco Infrastructure Essentials course on U. Cisco, and while it provided some useful insights into AI infrastructure, it also felt very much like a marketing pitch for Cisco’s AI products and solutions.

The course covered AI workloads, network design, security practices, and interoperability—all within the Cisco ecosystem. While these are valuable topics, the focus was primarily on how Cisco hardware and solutions support AI, rather than a broader discussion on AI infrastructure in general.

That being said, one undeniable benefit of this training is that it provides 34 Continuing Education (CE) credits, which can be useful for recertification. If you're looking to earn CE credits while getting an overview of how Cisco envisions AI infrastructure, this course might be worth considering.

Would I recommend it? If you're deeply invested in Cisco infrastructure, sure. But if you're looking for vendor-neutral AI knowledge, you might want to explore other options.
